So asks Germany’s RP Online in the aftermath of this week’s North Carolina and Indiana Democratic presidential primaries. The New York Senator and Democratic presidential aspirant is now “looking for a way out” of her candidacy, France’s LibĂ©ration notes, as neither her “combative rhetoric” nor her “determination to want to stay in the race” have convinced political analysts that she should stick with it. Gerard Baker, the U.S. editor of the Times, writes in the British daily: “Who will tell her it’s over? Which member of Hillary Clinton’s inner circle will have the courage, the self-abandonment, the capacity for suicidal valor in a greater cause, to walk into that propeller?…For a while longer, the Clinton campaign will keep up the pretense that she is still in the race. But what matters now, at least for her, is how she gets out of it.”
